Hello! I hope you're well. My name is Alyssa Crittenden, and I am the new vice provost for graduate education and dean of the Graduate College at UNLV. It is such a pleasure to connect with you.
UNLV has been my home for more than 10 years, and one thing that has always remained true is our university's unwavering commitment to student achievement. Our students' success ripples far into the community in meaningful and lasting ways, whether it's a well prepared, diverse workforce or innovative solutions to southern Nevada's unique challenges or creative activities and research discoveries that improve lives far beyond our region.
I invite you to read about some of our students' accomplishments below, and I hope they inspire you like they do me. I am so proud to be part of this university, and I look forward to working together to ensure its continued success. Rebels really do make it happen.

The yearlong Grad Rebel Advantage program, offered through the Graduate College's The Grad Academy, demystifies graduate school at UNLV or elsewhere, guiding UNLV undergraduate students in deciding if graduate school is right for them, helping them be more competitive applicants for their dream program, and preparing them to be successful in graduate school. The program offers workshops and professional development opportunities as well as mentorship, often provided in specialty pods that cluster students with similar experiences (UNLV athletes, veterans, etc.) or interests (medical school, women in STEM, etc.) and pair them with mentors who share their experiences or interests.
“This program was so
helpful toward getting
into graduate school. I tell
everyone I know about this
program, especially
first-generation students.
I would not be where I am
without the Grad Rebel
Advantage program.”
