Lied Library Hours
Due to the ongoing impact of the global pandemic, the Lied Library will reduce its hours and implement Rebel Hours for the spring 2022 semester. During Rebel Hours, access is limited to UNLV students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID.

Friday, March 11: Close at 5 p.m.
Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13: Closed
Monday-Friday, March 14-18: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

UNLV offers many resources to support students' technology needs. Please keep the following in mind:
Enrolled students can submit a technology loan request to borrow equipment for the entire semester. Supply is limited.
If you do not have Cox service at home, submit a UNLV Cox Cares interest form to get reduced rates on home internet access through June 30. No action is needed if you're already a part of this program. If you're a current Cox subscriber, assistance may be available through other internet service programs.
Software required for your courses can be accessed in computer labs or remotely using RebelApps. If you plan to purchase software, check the software directory for discounts on select titles.
Call for Applications: Summer Institute in Latino Humanities Studies Methodologies and Theories and Predoctoral Research Fellowship
The Crossing Latinidades Humanities Research Initiative is accepting applications from pre-candidacy doctoral students for the Summer Institute, a two-week intensive training on comparative Latino Humanities Studies research methodologies and theoretical frameworks. The Summer Institute will take place June 26-July 10 at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and selected applicants will receive a $3,000 stipend. Participants of the Summer Institute will be considered for a Predoctoral Research Fellowship that awards a $30,000 stipend for fall, spring, and summer 2022-23.
Interested in applying? Send your application materials in one email to gradrebel@unlv.edu by Feb. 7 and cc: your advisor. Selected applicants will then be nominated to the Summer Institute by UNLV before the Feb. 15 deadline.
The U.S. Government Accountability Office is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress, and it is currently seeking student interns from high school to graduate levels for summer 2022. The anticipated start dates are in May 2022. Learn more and apply.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Internship and Career Webinar
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will host an internship and career webinar for members of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and its students on March 2 at 1 p.m. PST. The one-hour webinar is designed to share career employment opportunities that are available to current and post-graduate college students. Learn more and register.
The Graduate & Professional Student Association and the Graduate College will host an open house in the Lied Graduate Commons, where incoming spring 2022 graduate students can drop in between 10 a.m.-4 p.m for a gift bag and T-shirt. All graduate students are welcome to attend the event. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. there will be donuts, coffee, and yogurt, and from 2-4 p.m. there will be cookies, juice, and yogurt.
