The Graduate College recently recognized the Fall 2019 Graduate College Medallion recipients. Graduate College Medallion recipients are exceptionally involved during their time as graduate students at UNLV. Medallions are given in the semester students graduate.
The Graduate College welcomed the following Graduate Faculty Fellows for the 2019-20 academic year: Senior Graduate Faculty Fellow Janet Dufek (School of Integrated Health Sciences), Graduate Faculty Fellow Sara Jordan (School of Medicine), and Graduate Faculty Fellow Toni Repetti (College of Hospitality).
The Graduate College's Professional Development Academy offers a wide variety of certifications, non-academic advising, year-round professional development workshops and training seminars, and several extracurricular programs. At the beginning of the academic year, the Graduate College welcomed several cohorts in its certification and Grad Rebel programs.
The UNLV Alumni Association is recruiting UNLV alumni and friends to become Rebel Advocates and support the interests of the UNLV alumni community. Rebel Advocates communicate with government and business leaders and stakeholders on issues of importance to UNLV.
Put Your Stamp on the Graduate College's New Space
Two opportunities are available to support graduate students while putting your stamp on the new Graduate College space.
With a gift of $100, you can add your name or the name of a loved one to a wall recognizing our supporters. With this gift, you will automatically become a Scarlet Loyal donor if you’re an alum, which entitles you to receive exclusive invitations. On the giving form, select a fund of your choice, enter "Wall" in the Comments field, and a Graduate College team member will reach out to you.
Or, in recognition of a gift of $1,500 supporting the Professional Development Academy, you can add your name to a Professional Development Academy Commons workstation. This gift will make you part of UNLV’s 1957 Society, which entitles you to receive special communications and invitations throughout the year. Invest today.
Audrey James was one of the few African Americans in UNLV's earliest classes.
Today, the centenarian is still spreading the message that education is a priority.
Your contribution provides invaluable resources to support graduate students, expand their educational and professional opportunities, and change both their career paths and their lives.
