The Writing Center offers a variety of services that can help you organize your ideas, clarify your thoughts, meet your instructor's expectations, cite your sources, and polish your writing as you approach the end of the semester. Services and resources are available during study and finals weeks.

May 12: STEM Culturally Relevant and Responsive Teaching Fellowship Application Deadline
UNLV graduate students are invited to apply to the Culturally Relevant and Responsive Teaching Fellows Program for 2023-24. Preference will be given to students in civil engineering, engineering, and STEM-related disciplines and graduate teaching assistants currently teaching. The graduate fellow stipend is $1,000. Mixed-status families are front and center in national debates about undocumented immigration and American citizenship. Yet, members of mixed-status families, including adult-age Americans of undocumented parents, are rarely included in conversations about these heated debates. Drawing on qualitative data with members of mixed-status families, Rodriguez examines how these Americans speak back to myths long perpetuated in the U.S. public and the ways they manage family responsibilities.

May 1: 2nd Annual President's Innovation Challenge
Attend UNLV's 2nd annual President's Innovation Challenge, powered by Honeywell, to hear diverse teams of students present their solution to chart the course to a more sustainable future. The President's Innovation Challenge is a multidisciplinary team competition encouraging social and business entrepreneurship to help solve major challenges in Southern Nevada and beyond. A panel of judges will select winners and award prizes, including a $25,000 grand prize.
