Understanding what implicit bias is and how it impacts our decisions is key to fostering more inclusive and diverse workplaces. This workshop focuses on how implicit bias and stereotypes affect how we make decisions and shape how we engage others with subtle forms of prejudice. No matter your industry or whether you hold a formal leadership title, you will have the opportunity to lead. As a graduate student, you may take the lead on a group project or lead the research lab you are a part of. As a professional, you may lead a department or even an entire organization. This interactive workshop will help you discover how the qualities you possess can add value to your teams.

Join the Graduate College and the Graduate & Professional Student Association for free pizza on April 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lied Graduate Commons. Refreshments will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you're able, make a gift during Rebels Give and help unlock the Graduate College Fellowship Challenge! The first 100 gifts to any Graduate College fund unlocks $5,000 to create a new completion fellowship for the 2022-23 academic year. A total of 125 gifts unlocks $7,500, and a total of 150 gifts unlocks $10,000.
This year, we're raising funds to support graduate student scholarships; the Graduate Student Emergency Support Fund; The Grad Academy; graduate student research, conference, and travel funding; and the Dean’s Fund for Excellence.

UNLV is thrilled to host Minority-Serving Institution Week, which features a full slate of educational opportunities designed to foster conversation and celebrate the richness of UNLV’s students. The Inspiration, Innovation, Impact event showcases the best in UNLV graduate student research. The Graduate College invites you to join us to see a select group of outstanding graduate students from a variety of colleges giving short, five-minute, TED-style talks or performances. April 6: President's Innovation Challenge
How do we make Las Vegas’ economy more resilient, diversified, and sustainable? Join the UNLV Office of the President, UNLV Graduate College, UNLV Office of Economic Development, Black Fire Innovation, and the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development on April 6 at 4 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Strip View Pavilion for the inaugural President's Innovation Challenge, where you’ll hear teams of students present their innovative solutions to this question. Blk + in Grad School is a podcast with the purpose of encouraging and inspiring women and people of color to and through the graduate school journey.
. This podcast was created by Allanté, a doctoral student at Carnegie Mellon University, who explores topics ranging from the academic job market to writer's block. Allanté is often joined by other graduate students who share resources and their stories from their own time in academia with the hopes of encouraging other people of color who are pursuing graduate degrees of their own.
