Learn how to create and incorporate Wikidata into your research. Wikidata is a public, multilingual crowdsource knowledge graph.

March 23: Mentoring Resource Panel

Workshop participants will develop an understanding of what makes a good mentor, learn how to develop communication skills and how to set boundaries, and learn about UNLV resources available to support mentors.

Take What You Need Events
On March 23 and April 13, UNLV will offer Take What You Need events where UNLV community members can secure basic needs items such as toiletries and personal hygiene products, non-perishable food, clothing, bedding and other linens, etc. The events will take place in the Student Union from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Walk-ups are welcome, but participants are asked to anonymously identify a time slot in advance so traffic can be better managed.
Thesis/Dissertation Office Hours
Students with questions about their thesis or dissertation can take advantage of the Graduate College's thesis and dissertation office hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-2 p.m. Email grad.td@unlv.edu at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a virtual appointment. Learn more.
March 22: Weekend Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp Application Deadline
Are you graduating this semester and need help crossing your thesis or dissertation
finish line? If so, join the Graduate College for a weekend writing boot camp! This two-day program will
provide students structured writing time, accountability, and flash workshops on
topics like formatting. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served. Applications close on March 22.

Student Support Spot for Basic Needs
UNLV's new Student Support Spot is open. The Student Support Spot provides free food packages; toiletry items; and guidance to students facing basic needs challenges (food, housing, transportation, mental health, child care, and digital access). Located in the University Gateway Building in the Welcome Center on the second floor, the Student Support Spot is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Learn more.
