Sept. 12: Building Your Resume: What Employers Want to See

This workshop will provide students with information and tools to develop a strong resume for future employers. Review the basics of a well-organized resume, be able to identify qualities and experience employers look for, and learn how to tailor your resume to a job and how to avoid deal breakers and mistakes. Sept. 12: Citation Manager Showdown: Comparing Mendeley, RefWorks, and Zotero
2:30-3:30 p.m., Virtual
This workshop will provide students with information on how to utilize citation management software. Learn how to organize PDFs and automatically make formatted bibliographies. Find out whether RefWorks, Zotero, or Mendeley will be the best fit for your needs. Discover the benefits of using a citation manager and identify the strengths and weaknesses of these three programs. Learn more.
Sept. 13 & 14: Build Your Life Design Workshop
1:30-2:30 p.m. and 12-1 p.m., Lied Library, Amargosa Room or Virtual
This workshop will give students tools and information they can use to help design the life they dream of. This workshop is part of the Life Design and Career Readiness Workshops series presented by UNLV Career Services, the Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach, and University Libraries.

Early Alert Wellness and Mental Health Resources
UNLV and the Graduate College offer the Early Alert text messaging system that confidentially checks in with students who opt in once a week and provides free wellness and mental health resources. Early Alert asks students to reflect on their emotional, physical, cognitive, relational, academic, and financial wellness. Based on their optional text response, students will receive free, easy-to-access resources to support them and help address their concerns. Learn more and opt in.
Graduate College Offers Virtual Resources to Answer Your Questions
While you're a graduate student at UNLV, you may have questions about financial services, progressing through your academic program, professional development opportunities, graduation, and more. Visit the Graduate Knowledge Center to find answers to questions asked frequently by UNLV graduate students. If you can't find what you're looking for there, visit the Graduate College website and click on "Live Chat" to virtually connect with a Graduate College team member any time Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Sept. 15: Fall 2022 Student Health Insurance Waiver Deadline
Sept. 15 is the last day to waive out of the fall 2022 health insurance for graduate students. Students must complete a waiver once every academic year as waivers completed in previous years do not carry over. If students do not complete a new waiver for the 2022-23 academic year, the charge will remain on their account and they'll be enrolled in the student health insurance. Learn more.
Sept. 28: Fall 2022 Graduate College Medallion Deadline
If you're graduating this semester and you've been involved in Graduate College programming during your time as a graduate student, you might be eligible for the Graduate College Medallion to wear at commencement. The Graduate College Medallion program honors exceptionally involved and high-achieving students. Learn more.
Oct. 1: Fall 2022 Graduation Application Deadline and Custom Regalia Deadline
If you’re planning to graduate this semester, the final day to submit an application for graduation through MyUNLV is Oct. 1. If you’re graduating with a doctoral degree and would like to purchase custom academic regalia through the UNLV Bookstore, the deadline to submit an order is Oct. 20. Learn more.
Oct. 5: Sam Lieberman Regents’ Award for Student Scholarship
UNLV and the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents are accepting nominations of graduate students for the Sam Lieberman Regents' Award for Student Scholarship, which recognizes distinguished academic accomplishments, leadership ability, and service contributions. Nominations are due Oct. 5. Learn more.
Group Fitness Classes
Interested in attending group fitness classes this semester? Campus Recreational Services offers free group fitness classes in yoga, pilates, zumba, cycling, and more! Students must be enrolled in four or more credits, and classes are drop-in only. Learn more.
