Aug. 31: Explore Career Compatibility Workshop
1:30-2:30 p.m., Lied Library, Amargosa Room or Virtual
This workshop will provide students with information and tools to help them find a career path they're compatible with. This workshop is part of the Life Design and Career Readiness Workshops series presented by UNLV Career Services, The Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach, and University Libraries. UNLV’s Campuses are now Smoke- and Tobacco-Free
UNLV's campuses are now smoke- and tobacco-free. On Aug. 15, UNLV joined a growing number of universities across the country that have already implemented this policy on their campuses. The policy applies to students, faculty, staff, and visitors on all UNLV properties.

Gateway Parking Garage Closure Through Sept. 7
The Gateway Parking Garage will be closed through Sept. 7. Maintenance crews are replacing a damaged beam. Please plan to park in an alternative parking lot during this time. For a list of alternative parking locations, visit the Parking & Transportation Services website.
Take What You Need Events
On Sept. 22, Oct. 17, and Nov. 15, UNLV will offer Take What You Need events where UNLV community members can secure basic needs items such as toiletries and personal hygiene products, non-perishable food, clothing, bedding and other linens, etc. The events will take place in Student Union 208 A&B from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Walk-ups are welcome, but participants are asked to anonymously identify a time slot in advance so traffic can be better managed.
Sept. 15: Fall 2022 Student Health Insurance Waiver Deadline
Sept. 15 is the last day to waive out of the fall 2022 health insurance for graduate students. Students must complete a waiver once every academic year as waivers completed in previous years don't carry over. If students don't complete a new waiver for the 2022-23 academic year, the charge will remain on their account and they'll be enrolled in the student health insurance. Learn more.
Oct. 5: Sam Lieberman Regents’ Award for Student Scholarship
UNLV and the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents are accepting nominations of graduate students for the Sam Lieberman Regents' Award for Student Scholarship, which recognizes distinguished academic accomplishments, leadership ability, and service contributions. Nominations are due Oct. 5. Learn more.

Sept. 1: Janine Lee Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser
Join the UNLV Boyd School of Law and the Graduate College for a fundraiser benefiting the Janine Lee Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to UNLV graduate students and law students. All silent auction proceeds and 20% of restaurant purchases will benefit the scholarship fund.
