Thesis/Dissertation Office Hours
Students with questions about their thesis or dissertation can take advantage of the Graduate College's thesis and dissertation office hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-2 p.m. Email grad.td@unlv.edu at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a virtual appointment.

UNLV Food Pantry Offers Monthly Farmers Markets
The UNLV Food Pantry is offering monthly farmers markets to both UNLV and non-UNLV members of the community who may benefit from supplemental food. The next Food Pantry Farmers Markets will take place on April 9 and May 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot next to the
Stan Fulton Building (900 Cottage Grove Ave.). This event is free to attend, and no payment will be needed to obtain food items. The UNLV Food Pantry is a year-round resource that provides perishable and non-perishable food items to students, staff, and faculty who need additional support.

March 15: GPSA Travel & Research Sponsorship Deadline for Travel in May, June, and July
The GPSA offers each graduate and professional student sponsorship funding of $1,250 annually. These funds can be used for research, travel to events or conferences, or other scholarly activities. Proposals should have a direct effect on the student’s academic success and make a contribution to their field. All who receive GPSA sponsorship funding will present their progress at the 24th Annual Graduate & Professional Student Research Forum on April 2. Learn more and apply.

If you're graduating with a doctoral degree and would like to purchase custom academic regalia through the UNLV Bookstore, the deadline to submit an order is March 18. Please order as soon as possible for the best chance at receiving your regalia on time.
April 1: 7th Annual Inspiration, Innovation, Impact: A Celebration of Graduate Student Research
The Inspiration, Innovation, Impact event showcases the best in UNLV graduate student research. The Graduate College invites you to join us to see a select group of outstanding graduate students from a variety of colleges giving short, five-minute, TED-style talks or performances. Inspiration, Innovation, Impact will take place April 1 from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. Learn more and RSVP by March 25.
April 6: President's Innovation Challenge
How do we make Las Vegas’ economy more resilient, diversified, and sustainable? Join the UNLV Office of Economic Development, Black Fire Innovation, and the UNLV Graduate College on April 6 at 4 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Strip View Pavilion for the inaugural President's Innovation Challenge, where you’ll hear teams of students present their innovative solutions to this question. A panel of judges will select winners and award prizes, including $20,000 for the winning team. Learn more and RSVP by April 4.
"How I Tackled Post-Ph.D. Imposter Syndrome"
Kelsey Inouye, a recent Ph.D. graduate from Oxford University, learned that imposter syndrome has a long-lasting toll on some graduate students even after graduation. She found that, among other self-care activities, social media breaks and a daily running routine helped to curb the toll of imposter syndrome on her mental health.
