Ready to make your impact and chart the course to a more sustainable future? Join us for a President’s Innovation Challenge social and attend technical assistance workshops. This is a hybrid event that will be held in person and virtually. The two workshops will be recorded and posted at a later date for individuals unable to attend.
5-5:30 p.m.: Innovative Thinking and Problem-Solving Workshop
Workshop participants will
learn how to successfully compete in the President's Innovation Challenge and
learn about a model for defining their innovative idea.
5:30-6 p.m.: Idea Incubation Workshop
Workshop participants will
learn effective ways to brainstorm,
understand marketing and day-to-day business developments/operations to consider, and
receive advice on prototypes/outcomes.
6-7 p.m.: Team Social
Form your President's Innovation Challenge team.
Nov. 21: President’s Innovation Challenge Participant Interest Form Deadline
Participate in the 2nd annual UNLV President's Innovation Challenge, a multidisciplinary team competition that encourages social and business entrepreneurship to help solve major challenges in Southern Nevada and beyond, for a chance at winning a prize from the $50,000 total prize pool. This year’s challenge, which will culminate in the spring with a showcase event, focuses on sustainability but is not limited to science and engineering! Imagine a new communication platform to raise awareness of carbon impact or a game-based learning product to educate children on environmental sustainability or anything in between.

Dec. 23: Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp Application Deadline
The Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp assists students working on major writing pieces, including theses, dissertations, and publications. Dec. 19: Commencement - Graduate Degree and Certificate Students
The winter 2022 commencement ceremony for all candidates for doctoral, master’s, specialist, artist diploma degrees, and graduate certificates will be held on Monday, Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. in the Thomas & Mack Center. Tickets are not required to attend. The ceremony will also be livestreamed. Learn more.
