Around the Graduate College, the word “gateway” has special meaning. Meaning a physical gateway through which we pass, gateways are a symbolic means of achieving a condition of being or accomplishing something. A gateway is also a node connecting multiple networks and serving as a point through which data flow in and out. These meanings resonate with us because they reflect our mission as a gateway to serve, support, and advance our UNLV community of graduate scholars and alumni.

#RebelsGive runs Thursday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 for 1,957 minutes in honor of UNLV’s founding in 1957 and is an opportunity to unite alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members in celebration of philanthropy and pride for UNLV. It’s a university-wide effort with a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy and a range of methods of promotion leading up to and during the days. Challenge sponsors ensure the success of the #RebelsGive campaign by agreeing to donate a set amount to the college when a particular goal is met in order to help drive participation and donations during the day of giving. In fact, challenges help ensure giving day success as small dollar donors are 20% more likely to give when a challenge is happening.
