Graduate College Offers Virtual Resources to Answer Your Questions
While you're a graduate student at UNLV, you may have questions about financial services, progressing through your academic program, professional development opportunities, graduation, and more. Visit the Graduate Knowledge Center to find answers to questions asked frequently by UNLV graduate students. If you can't find what you're looking for there, visit the Graduate College website and click on "Contact Us" to virtually connect with a Graduate College team member any time Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Early Alert Wellness and Mental Health Resources
UNLV and the Graduate College offer the Early Alert text messaging system that confidentially checks in with students who opt in once a week and provides free wellness and mental health resources. Early Alert asks students to reflect on their emotional, physical, cognitive, relational, academic, and financial wellness. Based on their optional text response, students will receive free, easy-to-access resources to support them and help address their concerns. Learn more and opt in.
2022 Rebel Grad Slam Winners
During the week of Oct. 31, 80 graduate and professional students participated in the Rebel Grad Slam 3-Minute Thesis Competition, which challenges students to present their research using only one presentation slide in three minutes. The weeklong competition culminated in the final round on Nov. 4. Congratulations to the winners of this year's competition:

Nov. 21: President’s Innovation Challenge Participant Interest Form Deadline
Participate in the 2nd annual UNLV President's Innovation Challenge, a multidisciplinary team competition that encourages social and business entrepreneurship to help solve major challenges in Southern Nevada and beyond, for a chance at winning a prize from the $50,000 total prize pool. This year’s challenge, which will culminate in the spring with a showcase event, focuses on sustainability but is not limited to science and engineering! Imagine a new communication platform to raise awareness of carbon impact or a game-based learning product to educate children on environmental sustainability or anything in between.

The Graduate College is accepting nominations for the Outstanding Thesis/Dissertation Awards and the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award. Each academic college may nominate one outstanding thesis, one outstanding dissertation, and one outstanding graduate student teacher. Nominations are due Dec. 1. Dec. 1: 2023-24 Scholarships and Fellowships Application Deadline
Graduate students can submit applications for merit-based scholarships and fellowships for the 2023-24 academic year until Dec. 1, 2022 through the Grad Rebel Gateway. Learn more.
Join UNLV EARN-FS for informative presentations on knowing your rights, pregnancy 101, preparing for post-partum, and chest/breastfeeding 101. Avoid the Tide with Self-Care Webinars
Having an outlet outside of school is important in maintaining balance and taking care of yourself. The Academic Success Center invites students to attend a webinar titled Avoid the Tide with Self-Care to learn about burnout and caring for oneself. The webinar will be offered on Nov.15, Nov.16, and Nov.17.
Programming Empathy: Nursing Alumna Teaches Using Virtual Reality
